Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the all-new 2025 CB650R and CBR650R, marking them as the first motorcycles in India to feature the innovative E-Clutch technology. Consequently, this advancement blends the excitement of manual riding with the convenience of automatic clutch control, thereby elevating the entire riding experience for all riders
Pricing and Availability
Bookings for the 2025 CB650R and CBR650R are now open at Honda BigWing dealerships and online, with deliveries expected by the end of May 2025. The CB650R is priced at Rs. 9.60 lakh, and the faired CBR650R comes at Rs. 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The E-Clutch system, developed by Honda in 2023, automatically removes the need for clutch lever use during starting, stopping, and shifting. Consequently, this advances rider comfort during daily rides without sacrificing the sporty control enthusiasts seek. Moreover, it is ideal for both beginners and seasoned riders, as it reduces fatigue and enhances ease of riding in various conditions.
Powertrain and Performance Specs
The 2025 CB650R features Honda’s Neo Sports Café design with a sculpted fuel tank, round LED headlamp, and exposed steel frame. It is powered by a 649cc inline four-cylinder engine generating 70 kW at 12,000 RPM and 63 Nm at 9,500 RPM, paired with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with the E-Clutch system. Suspension includes Showa 41 mm USD forks and a monoshock rear, with dual 310 mm front discs and a rear disc supported by dual-channel ABS. A 5.0-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity completes the package.
The 2025 CBR650R offers a sportier full-faired look with aerodynamic styling, sharing the same engine, gearbox, and chassis as the CB650R but adding Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for enhanced safety. The CBR650R comes in Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic, while the CB650R is available in Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
