2026 Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Rendered in New Colours – Based on Latest Spy Shots

Mahindra is preparing a major upgrade for one of its most successful SUVs, the XUV700. Since its launch in 2021, the model has crossed 3 lakh sales, and with competition intensifying, a comprehensive 2026 facelift is now underway. Recent spy shots reveal several visible changes, and designer Pratyush Rout has created digital renders based on these updates, showcasing the SUV in eight new exterior colours.

Fresh Exterior Updates Based on Spy Shots

The facelifted XUV700 will feature sharper styling and a more modern design. Key updates spotted on test vehicles include:

  • New twin-barrel projector LED headlamps
  • Revised DRLs with a more dynamic layout
  • Updated grille with a redesigned pattern
  • New alloy wheel designs
  • Tweaked rear bumper and refined tail-lamps

These enhancements will help the XUV700 go up against upcoming rivals like the refreshed Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and next-gen Hyundai Tucson.

Safety and ADAS Enhancements

The current XUV700 already offers an extensive safety suite, and the facelift is expected to expand on this with upgraded Level 2 ADAS.

Existing key features include:

  • 7 airbags
  • Electronic Stability Control
  • Hill hold assist
  • 360-degree camera
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

Mahindra may add updated collision-avoidance and lane-support functions to improve overall safety performance.

Interior Overhaul: New Triple-Screen Dashboard

The biggest upgrade will be the new triple-screen dashboard, replacing the dual 10.25-inch layout.

Expected screens:

  • Central infotainment touchscreen
  • Fully digital driver display
  • Passenger infotainment screen

This brings a more premium and futuristic cabin experience, similar to Mahindra’s upcoming XEV 9e.

Additional Cabin Enhancements

Interior upgrades observed on the facelift test mule include:

  • New four-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Mahindra logo
  • Premium leather trim on steering and gear lever
  • Updated steering controls
  • Auto-dimming IRVM
  • Rear BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) support
  • Optional second-row captain seats

A major highlight will be the new 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos, replacing the Sony 12-speaker setup.

Engine Options to Remain Unchanged

Mahindra will retain the existing powertrains:

2.0L Turbo Petrol

  • 200 PS
  • 380 Nm
  • 6MT / 6AT

2.2L mHawk Diesel

  • Multiple power tunes
  • Up to 185 PS
  • 420 Nm (MT) / 450 Nm (AT)

These engines will continue to offer some of the best performance figures in the segment.

Expected Launch Timeline

The 2026 XUV700 facelift is expected to debut in early 2026. With refreshed styling, a significantly upgraded interior, and added premium features, Mahindra aims to strengthen its position in the premium midsize SUV space.
