Bentley Reveals Continental GT Supersports — Most Driver-Focused GT Yet

Bentley has unveiled the new Continental GT Supersports, the most extreme and driver-focused iteration of the luxury grand tourer yet. Marking the fourth Supersports model in the brand’s 100-year history, this limited-edition version redefines Bentley’s performance benchmark with a lighter structure, rear-wheel-drive setup, and an all-new 657hp V8 engine.

Only 500 units will be produced globally, with orders opening in March 2026 and deliveries beginning in early 2027.

Lightweight, Aerodynamic, and Focused

The 2026 Continental GT Supersports introduces Bentley’s most aggressive aero package ever fitted to a road-going model. A larger front splitter, wider bumper, and carbon-fibre dive planes improve aerodynamic balance, while new side sills, reshaped fender blades, and a rear diffuser work in harmony with a fixed rear wing.

Together, these components generate over 300kg of additional downforce compared to the Continental GT Speed.

A carbon-fibre roof panel reduces weight and lowers the centre of gravity, complemented by 22-inch forged wheels co-developed with Manthey Racing. Optional Pirelli Trofeo RS tyres enhance track performance, enabling up to 1.3g of lateral grip and 30 percent faster cornering than the GT Speed.

Minimalist Two-Seat Interior

Inside, the Supersports’ cabin has been stripped for performance. The rear bench is replaced by a carbon-fibre tub wrapped in leather, while new sports seats are mounted lower for improved driver engagement.

The cabin features a blend of leather, Dinamica, and carbon-fibre trim, reflecting Bentley’s motorsport-inspired craftsmanship.

Each Supersports unit will carry a numbered plaque, while infotainment and digital instrumentation remain. Sound insulation has been reduced, and the audio system is tuned for the front cabin only, further cutting unnecessary weight.

Pure Rear-Wheel Drive, V8 Power

Breaking tradition, Bentley has ditched its hybrid system and all-wheel-drive hardware, making the new Supersports the first rear-wheel-drive Continental GT.

Power comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, delivering 657hp and 800Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. This new setup keeps the car’s weight below 2,000kg, significantly improving agility and feedback.

Performance figures are impressive:

  • 0–100 km/h: 3.7 seconds
  • Top speed: ~310 km/h

Stopping power is provided by carbon-ceramic brakes, while a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system reduces weight and enhances the Supersports’ visceral soundtrack.

Pricing and Availability

While official pricing is yet to be confirmed, Bentley says the Supersports will sit above the current GT Speed, which starts at around USD 285,000.

Production is limited to 500 cars worldwide, available across key markets including the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Oman, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait.

Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2027.

Verdict: The Ultimate Bentley for Purists

The Bentley Continental GT Supersports represents a radical step for the brand — a lighter, rear-driven, V8-powered masterpiece that blends grand touring luxury with raw motorsport precision.

It’s not just faster — it’s more involving, more responsive, and designed to connect the driver directly to Bentley’s racing spirit. For enthusiasts seeking the ultimate Bentley performance experience, the Supersports stands as a fitting celebration of the brand’s century-long evolution.
