Mini India has begun accepting bookings for the new Mini Cooper Convertible ahead of its scheduled launch in December 2025. The open-top version of the iconic Mini hatch brings back its signature soft-top design with upgraded features and a performance-focused powertrain expected for the Indian market.
Design and Interior
The Cooper Convertible maintains the familiar silhouette of the 3-Door Cooper, with the key difference being its fully electric soft-top roof, operable at speeds up to 30 kmph.
The cabin layout mirrors the standard hatchback, featuring:
- A large circular infotainment display
- Toggle-style switches
- New textured dashboard trims and colour accents
Engine and Performance
For India, Mini is expected to offer the Cooper S Convertible, equipped with:
- 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine
- 201 bhp and 300 Nm
- 7-speed automatic transmission
- Front-wheel drive
This version strikes a balance between performance and daily usability. While global markets also get Cooper C and JCW variants, the Cooper S remains the most likely choice for India.
