Mahindra has announced that the XUV 3XO and its predecessor, the XUV300, have together crossed 4,00,000 units in cumulative domestic sales as of October 2025. The milestone comes alongside the XUV 3XO’s highest-ever monthly sales, with 12,237 units delivered in October 2025.
The original XUV300 launched on 14 February 2019, while the comprehensively updated XUV 3XO—essentially its facelift—went on sale on 29 April 2024.
XUV 3XO’s Contribution to the Milestone
The XUV 3XO alone has accounted for 1,57,542 units, making up a significant portion of the combined 4,06,569 sales of both models.
FY2025 has been the strongest year yet for this compact SUV family, with 1,00,905 units sold, far exceeding the performance of the previous fiscal.
In FY2025, the XUV 3XO became Mahindra’s second best-selling SUV, positioned below the Scorpio range and ahead of the Bolero, XUV700, and Thar.

XUV 3XO’s Current Market Position
In the current fiscal, the XUV 3XO now stands as Mahindra’s fourth best-selling SUV, behind:
- Scorpio N + Scorpio Classic – 1,02,514 units
- Thar + Thar Roxx – 71,351 units
- Bolero – 57,512 units
In the first seven months of FY2026, the XUV 3XO contributes 15% of Mahindra’s total SUV sales, down from a deeper share in the same period last fiscal.
Outlook for the XUV 3XO
The XUV 3XO competes in the high-volume compact SUV segment against strong rivals such as:
- Tata Nexon
- Maruti Suzuki Brezza
- Hyundai Venue
While the festive season saw a spike in demand—helped by revised GST benefits—it remains to be seen whether Mahindra can sustain this momentum for the rest of the fiscal year.
