Maruti e Vitara India Launch Date Confirmed for December 2, 2025

Maruti Suzuki has officially confirmed the launch date of its first all-electric SUV — the Maruti e Vitara. Prices will be announced on December 2, 2025, marking Maruti’s long-awaited entry into India’s rapidly expanding EV market.

Production Already Underway

The e Vitara is being manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant. The first 6,000 units have already been exported to Europe and the UK, indicating that full-scale production is in motion ahead of the India launch.

For Indian buyers, Maruti will offer the e Vitara in:

  • 10 paint shades
  • 3 variants, including a top-spec model loaded with tech and comfort features.

Battery, Range & Charging

Maruti will offer the e Vitara with two battery pack options:

  • 48.8kWh battery (FWD, single motor)
  • 61.1kWh battery (FWD, single motor)

Claimed maximum range: Up to 500km on a full charge
DC fast charging: 0–80% in approximately 50 minutes

This positions the e Vitara as one of the longest-range EVs in the mainstream Indian market.

Features & Technology

The e Vitara will be one of Maruti’s most feature-loaded models to date, offering:

  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Electric sunroof
  • 360-degree surround camera
  • LED projector headlamps
  • 10-way powered driver seat
  • Drive modes
  • Suzuki Connect connected car tech
  • TPMS
  • Seven airbags

The SUV focuses on practicality, safety and premium comfort — a major step up for Maruti Suzuki.

Maruti’s Electric Future

The e Vitara is the first of four all-electric models Maruti Suzuki has planned for India by 2030. This launch represents the beginning of Maruti’s largest-ever EV push in the Indian market.
