MG Motor India is preparing to introduce an updated version of the Hector, and one of the highlight additions will be a brand-new exterior colour — Celadon Blue. Already offered on the MG Windsor EV, this premium shade will soon join the Hector’s palette, giving buyers a fresh and more contemporary visual option.
New Colour & Exterior Enhancements
The 2025 Hector update will bring a series of subtle cosmetic improvements designed to keep the SUV modern and competitive. Key changes expected include:
- A redesigned front grille with a more prominent pattern
- Updated alloy wheel designs
- Introduction of the Celadon Blue exterior shade
These updates reflect MG’s strategy of periodically refreshing its bestselling SUV to maintain strong appeal in the midsize segment.
Interior Updates Expected
Although interior details have not been officially revealed, sources indicate that MG is likely to introduce:
- Revised upholstery materials
- New dashboard trim elements
- Additional feature enhancements, especially on higher-spec variants
These upgrades are aimed at giving the Hector’s cabin a more premium and tech-focused feel.
No Mechanical Changes Anticipated
MG is not expected to make any changes to the Hector’s powertrain lineup. The SUV should continue with its current engine options:
- 1.5-litre turbo-petrol
- 2.0-litre diesel (sourced from Fiat)
Both engines will remain paired with their existing manual and automatic transmission choices.
Part of the Hector’s Second Major Update Cycle
This upcoming refresh will mark the Hector’s second significant upgrade since its debut in 2019. Key milestones for the lineup include:
- 2019 – Hector launched as a 5-seater
- 2020 – Hector Plus introduced with 6- and 7-seat options
- 2023 – First major facelift
- 2025 – Latest update with new colour and exterior enhancements
The refresh is expected to apply to both the Hector and Hector Plus models.
