Next-Gen KTM 390 Adventure to Launch in 2026
KTM is gearing up to introduce the next-generation 390 Adventure, with the new model expected to launch globally in 2026. Designed to be more capable and refined than its predecessor, the upcoming 390 Adventure is aimed at riders looking for a versatile motorcycle that can handle both daily commuting and long-distance adventure touring.
The new KTM 390 Adventure is expected to receive a refreshed design inspired by KTM’s larger adventure motorcycles. Spy shots and concept previews suggest a more rugged stance, revised bodywork, and improved aerodynamics. Updates such as a taller windscreen, sharper LED lighting, and a stronger adventure-focused silhouette are likely, enhancing both visual appeal and touring comfort.
Under the bodywork, the next-gen 390 Adventure is expected to be built on an updated platform with improved chassis dynamics. KTM may introduce revised suspension hardware with longer travel, making the motorcycle more capable on rough terrain. Wheel sizes and ground clearance could also see changes to better suit off-road riding, while still maintaining on-road stability.
Power is likely to come from an updated 390cc single-cylinder engine, possibly aligned with upcoming emission norms. The engine is expected to deliver improved refinement, better low-end torque, and enhanced reliability. A 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and ride-by-wire system are expected to be standard, along with multiple riding modes.
In terms of features, the 2026 KTM 390 Adventure is likely to get a significant technology upgrade. Expected highlights include a TFT instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, cornering ABS, traction control, and possibly cruise control. KTM may also improve rider ergonomics, offering a more comfortable seat and adjustable handlebar positioning for long rides.
With the next-gen 390 Adventure, KTM aims to strengthen its position in the entry-level adventure motorcycle segment. The bike will continue to compete with rivals such as the BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and upcoming adventure models in the sub-400cc category. More details regarding specifications, pricing, and market-wise launch timelines are expected to be revealed closer to the 2026 launch.
