Mahindra is preparing to take a bold step by electrifying one of its most legendary SUVs, and anticipation is already running high. The Mahindra Thar.e, an all-electric take on the much-loved off-roader, is expected to arrive in 2026, combining the tough, go-anywhere spirit of the Thar with next-generation electric mobility. The upcoming Thar.e will be built on Mahindra’s advanced INGLO-P1 EV platform, developed specifically to support modern electric vehicle technology. One of its standout features is likely to be a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, ensuring that the electric version stays true to the Thar’s off-road legacy.
