Skoda is gearing up to launch its all-new Kodiaq RS in India by June 2026, bringing a high-performance, premium 7-seater SUV to the market. Positioned at the top of the Kodiaq range, the RS combines the practicality of a spacious family SUV with the sporty performance and design cues that the RS badge represents. As a CBU (Completely Built Unit) import, only a limited number of units are expected, making it a special offering for enthusiasts who want luxury, space, and excitement in a single package.
Powering the Kodiaq RS is expected to be a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing around 245 bhp. Coupled with an automatic gearbox and possibly an all-wheel-drive system, it promises quick acceleration, stable handling, and a sporty driving experience. While previous generations offered diesel options, the Indian launch is likely to focus on petrol variants, emphasizing performance and smoothness.
The SUV’s exterior mirrors its sporty character with aggressive front and rear bumpers, large 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss black accents on the grille and roof rails, and dual exhaust tips. Inside, the cabin blends sportiness with luxury, featuring RS-badged sports seats, red contrast stitching, a digital instrument cluster, and carbon-fibre effect trim, creating a performance-focused yet comfortable environment for all seven passengers.
The expected price of the Kodiaq RS in India ranges from ₹50 lakh to ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it above the standard Kodiaq but below some premium SUVs like the BMW X3 or Mercedes-Benz GLC. Its main competitors will include the Ford Endeavour, MG Gloster, and other premium 7-seater SUVs.
