Audi is getting ready to refresh its luxury sedan lineup in India, and the spotlight is now firmly on the new-generation 2026 Audi A5. Expected to launch around February 2026, the upcoming A5 will officially replace the long-running Audi A4, bringing a sharper design, more technology, and electrified powertrains. The new model is likely to be priced from around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it squarely in the premium executive sedan segment.
One of the biggest highlights of the 2026 Audi A5 is its completely redesigned interior, which Audi calls a “digital stage.” The cabin feels far more modern and futuristic than the outgoing A4, thanks to a massive 14.5-inch OLED infotainment touchscreen that sits at the center of the dashboard. This is paired with an 11.9-inch fully digital instrument cluster for the driver and an additional 10.9-inch passenger-side display, a feature that is still rare in this segment. Together, these screens create a tech-forward, luxury-focused experience.
In terms of powertrains, Audi is expected to offer 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines in India. The 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine is likely to produce around 148 bhp, while the 2.0-litre TDI diesel could deliver up to 201 bhp. Both engines will feature mild-hybrid technology, improving efficiency and reducing emissions, and will be paired with dual-clutch automatic gearboxes. Front-wheel drive is expected as standard, with Audi’s refined driving dynamics remaining a key selling point.
Design-wise, the new A5 adopts a more sleek and contemporary look, with cleaner lines, a wider stance, and Audi’s latest design language. Overall, the 2026 Audi A5 aims to offer a clear step up from the A4 in terms of technology, comfort, and sophistication, making it an important launch for Audi India in the coming year.
