India’s electric vehicle market is expanding rapidly, and Kia is preparing to strengthen its presence with the upcoming Kia Seltos EV. Expected to launch in India around late 2026 or 2027, the electric version of the popular Seltos could become a key player in the mid-size electric SUV segment.
The Seltos has already proven itself as a successful SUV thanks to its bold styling, spacious cabin, and feature-rich offering. By introducing an electric variant, Kia aims to build on that strong foundation while moving towards a cleaner and more future-focused mobility solution. For buyers who appreciate the Seltos but are considering switching to electric, this upcoming model could be an attractive choice.
The Seltos EV is likely to be offered with a battery pack ranging between 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. With this setup, it is expected to deliver a driving range of approximately 350 to 450 kilometres on a single charge. Such a range would comfortably support daily commuting needs while also being practical for occasional long-distance travel, which remains an important factor for Indian customers.
Safety and technology are also expected to play a major role in the Seltos EV. The SUV could feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including functions like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision avoidance systems. These additions would enhance overall driving confidence and position the vehicle as a modern, tech-forward offering.
In terms of pricing, the electric Seltos is estimated to fall between ₹20 lakh and ₹30 lakh. Once launched, it is expected to compete with models such as the Creta Electric and other upcoming electric SUVs in the same segment. If Kia delivers a strong balance of range, features, and pricing, the Seltos EV could become one of the most anticipated electric SUVs in India.
