Aston Martin has unveiled a more powerful version of its Super Tourer, the Aston Martin DB12, called the DB12 S. The new model focuses on stronger performance, sharper handling, and a sportier design while maintaining the luxury feel the brand is known for. Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2026.
The DB12 was introduced as the successor to the Aston Martin DB11, marking a new chapter for the company’s grand touring lineup. With the DB12 S, Aston Martin is pushing the concept further by making the car more powerful and more driver-focused.
Power comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine sourced from Mercedes-AMG. In the DB12 S, the engine has been tuned to produce around 690 horsepower, making it noticeably more powerful than the standard DB12. The extra power promises quicker acceleration and stronger overall performance.
Handling has also been improved. The DB12 S comes with standard carbon-ceramic brakes, which provide better stopping performance and improved durability during aggressive driving. Aston Martin has also refined the suspension, steering, and chassis setup to deliver more precise control and a more engaging driving experience.
Engineers have increased the chassis stiffness as well, helping the car remain stable during high-speed cornering. These updates aim to make the DB12 S feel sharper and more responsive on both highways and winding roads.
In terms of design, the DB12 S looks slightly more aggressive than the regular model. Subtle styling updates and aerodynamic touches give the car a stronger road presence while still keeping Aston Martin’s signature elegance.
Within the lineup, the DB12 S sits between the luxurious DB12 and the more hardcore Aston Martin Vantage. Buyers will be able to choose between coupe and Volante convertible versions, combining grand touring comfort with serious performance.
