Bentley has officially unveiled new platform details for its first-ever electric vehicle (EV), marking a significant milestone in the brand’s journey toward full electrification. Scheduled for a global launch by late 2026, the upcoming Bentley EV will combine cutting-edge performance, ultra-fast charging, and the brand’s signature luxury design.
Charging and Performance
The new Bentley EV platform will support charging speeds of up to 300kW, allowing the vehicle to gain 100 miles (161km) of range in just seven minutes. This positions Bentley’s first electric SUV among the fastest-charging EVs in the world, second only to the 350kW Lotus Eletre.

Design and Platform Details
Built on a modified version of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture jointly developed by Audi and Porsche, Bentley’s first EV will measure under five metres in length. It is expected to share its core components — including a 108kWh battery pack and dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup — with the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric. The model will blend state-of-the-art technology with handcrafted luxury, staying true to Bentley’s design ethos.
Launch Timeline and Hybrid Future
The Bentley EV is set to debut globally by the end of 2026, with deliveries commencing in 2027. In parallel, Bentley will continue offering plug-in hybrid versions of models such as the Continental GT and Flying Spur until at least 2035, ensuring a smooth transition to an all-electric future.
With this new platform, Bentley signals a bold leap toward sustainable luxury — combining its century-old craftsmanship with the innovation of next-generation electric mobility.
