BMW is set to strengthen its luxury SUV presence in India with the launch of the BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro, scheduled for February 16, 2026. Ahead of the official launch, BMW will begin pre-bookings on January 30, 2026, at 12:30 PM, allowing interested buyers to reserve the SUV in advance.
The new BMW X3 will be locally manufactured in Chennai, underlining BMW’s continued focus on the Indian market. Local production is also expected to help BMW manage pricing more effectively while ensuring quicker availability for customers. Unlike earlier versions, this model will be offered exclusively in the M Sport Pro variant, positioning it as a premium and performance-oriented option in its segment.
Powering the BMW X3 M Sport Pro is a more powerful 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV also comes with BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system as standard, which is expected to provide better traction, stability, and driving confidence on different road surfaces. This setup should appeal to buyers who value both everyday comfort and strong highway performance.
In terms of design, the M Sport Pro treatment gives the X3 a more aggressive and sporty appearance, helping it stand out in the competitive luxury SUV space. Inside, the cabin is expected to feature a premium layout with advanced technology, high-quality materials, and a strong focus on comfort and driver engagement. BMW’s reputation for offering a balanced driving experience is likely to continue with this new X3.
With its combination of performance, premium features, and local production, the upcoming BMW X3 is aimed at urban buyers as well as those who frequently travel on highways. As the February 2026 launch approaches, the BMW X3 M Sport Pro is shaping up to be an important addition to BMW India’s SUV lineup and a strong contender in the luxury mid-size SUV segment.
