Citroën India may still operate as a niche player, but October 2025 proved to be one of its most successful months so far. Backed by refreshed products, improved pricing after the GST rate cut and festive season demand, the brand recorded a major surge in sales and momentum across its portfolio.
Citroën currently sells the C3 hatchback, C3 Aircross SUV, Basalt coupe-SUV, the eC3 electric hatchback and the premium C5 Aircross.
Sales Performance: YoY and MoM Growth
Citroën sold 1,426 units in October 2025, marking:
- 99% YoY growth (717 units in October 2024)
- 94% MoM growth (734 units in September 2025)
This strong performance is supported by Citroën’s updated lineup under the “Shift Into the New” strategy, which includes the Aircross X, Basalt X and the new C3X.
Model-Wise Sales Breakdown – October 2025
C3 Hatchback – Driving the Brand Forward
The C3 continues to be Citroën’s highest-volume model, recording:
- 897 units sold
- 199% YoY growth
- Doubling of sales MoM (448 units in September)
This model remains the main growth driver in the entry-level segment.
C3 Aircross – Strong Comeback
The C3 Aircross registered:
- 227 units
- 120% YoY growth
- 285% MoM growth
It also made its way into the top-selling SUVs in the 4.2–4.4 metre class.
Basalt – Steady Performance
The Basalt contributed:

- 217 units
- 2% YoY decline
- 3% MoM growth
Despite tough competition in the coupe-SUV category, interest remains strong.
eC3 Electric – Demand Rebounds
The eC3 EV posted:
- 83 units
- 7% YoY drop
- 388% MoM jump (from 18 units)
Festive schemes and EV incentives are helping revive demand.
C5 Aircross – Low Volume
The premium C5 Aircross recorded:
- 2 units sold
- 50% YoY decline
- 0 units in September
Citroën’s Growing Market Presence
Citroën’s performance indicates that its long-term approach is yielding results. The GST rate cut has allowed sharper pricing across the range, while new updates and wider visibility – boosted by its partnership with MS Dhoni – have increased customer interest.
Models like the C3 and C3 Aircross are attracting value-focused buyers, while newer offerings such as the Basalt are building a steady customer base. Continued network expansion and improved after-sales support will be key to sustaining this growth in the coming months.
