Genesis is preparing to make a big splash in the luxury electric SUV segment with its all-new GV90, set to launch in late 2026. This full-size electric SUV will be the brand’s flagship model, designed to compete with the world’s top-tier luxury SUVs. It promises a blend of power, advanced technology, and premium comfort.
The GV90 will be built on Genesis’ new EM platform and is expected to feature a dual-motor setup producing over 500 horsepower. Power will go to all four wheels, supported by adaptive air suspension and electronically controlled dampers. The result should be a ride that is both dynamic and exceptionally smooth. A 99.8 kWh battery is expected to deliver more than 300 miles of range, while 800V fast-charging will make recharging quick and convenient for long trips.
The SUV’s design draws inspiration from Genesis’ Neoloon concept, featuring a bold, upright stance with signature two-line lighting. Reports suggest the GV90 could even feature pillarless coach-style doors, adding a unique luxury touch. Inside, the cabin is expected to seat four and feature a large OLED display. Genesis’ “One of One” program will allow buyers to personalize their GV90 with bespoke options, enhancing the sense of exclusivity.
Technology is a key highlight of the GV90. It will support bidirectional charging, meaning it can power homes or feed energy back to the grid. Advanced driver-assistance features are expected to include Level 2 semi-autonomous driving, with future updates possibly bringing Level 3 functionality.
With its long-range capability, powerful performance, and luxurious interior, the Genesis GV90 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the electric SUV market. By 2026, this flagship EV could redefine what buyers expect from a luxury electric SUV.
