Kawasaki Z1100 2026: A New Era of Power and Performance

Kawasaki launches the new Z1100 for 2026 in India, raising the bar in the hyper-naked motorcycle category. Inspired by the legendary Z-series, the Z1100 blends sharp style, high-end technology, and robust engineering. As a result, it appeals to enthusiasts looking for excitement and advanced features on Indian roads.

Engine and Performance

The 2026 Kawasaki Z1100 is powered by a liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1,061 cc. The engine boasts a bore and stroke of 76 by 58 mm and a high compression ratio of 12.2:1. It produces an impressive maximum power output of 147 hp at 11,500 rpm and a peak torque of 111 Nm at 9,500 rpm. The fuel injection system is finely tuned for both performance and compliance with Bharat Stage VI emission standards, delivering smooth throttle response and efficiency. Additionally, electronic throttle valves enhance precision control.

Chassis and Suspension

Engineers designed the Z1100’s aluminum twin-spar frame to maximize strength and agility. Up front, a 43 mm inverted telescopic fork comes with full adjustability for preload, compression, and rebound. As you move to the rear, a horizontal back-link mono-shock—also fully adjustable—offers a planted feel on any terrain. This suspension setup provides stability at speed and comfort in city traffic.

Braking and Wheels

Kawasaki equips the Z1100 with powerful brakes for added confidence. Dual 310 mm petal discs with four-piston calipers sit at the front, while the rear uses a 250 mm disc and two-piston caliper. Because of the advanced ABS system and riding modes, you get precise control everywhere. The 17-inch cast alloy wheels use wide radial tires, improving grip in corners and on highways.

Technology and Electronics

The Z1100 features a full-color TFT screen that displays key bike information. With smartphone connectivity, you can access navigation, calls, and music. Kawasaki’s smart key system allows for easy, secure starts. For extra confidence, the bike offers traction control, selectable riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain), and IMU-assisted cornering ABS.

Design and Ergonomics

Aggressive lines define the Z1100, showcasing Kawasaki’s streetfighter spirit. The tank’s muscular shape and the bike’s LED headlamp provide instant style. A forward-leaning riding position and wide bars mean the Z1100 remains easy to maneuver. Both rider and passenger benefit from a well-padded seat, making long rides enjoyable.

Colors and Availability

Kawasaki sells the 2026 Z1100 in two colors: Metallic Spark Black with Lime Green and Matte Graphite Gray with Black. These looks suit riders who want modern style and a bold road presence. You can find the Z1100 at Kawasaki showrooms in India starting November 2025.
