Mahindra has released the first official teaser for the production-spec BE Rall-E, the road-ready evolution of the rugged 2023 BE Rall-E concept. The SUV will debut alongside the Mahindra XEV 9S at the brand’s Scream Electric event on November 26.
This marks the first clear look at Mahindra’s off-road-focused Born Electric (BE) SUV, which appears to preserve much of the concept’s adventurous styling while adopting design elements suitable for production.
Design: Strong Concept DNA With Production-Ready Refinements
Front-End Styling
The teaser reveals several familiar cues inspired by the Rall-E and BE 6:
- Sculpted, scooped-out bonnet
- Eyebrow-style LED DRLs similar to the BE 6 Pack One Above
- Circular projector LED headlamps carried over from the original concept
- A pronounced front bash plate signalling serious off-road intent
Together, these elements give the BE Rall-E a rugged, muscular look that sets it apart from other BE models.

Side Profile: Muscular, But More Practical
The silhouette stays close to the concept with:
- A sloping roofline
- Sharp creases
- Strong, wide proportions
However, some hardcore off-road components have been toned down for production:
- Steel off-road wheels replaced by aero-optimised star-pattern alloys
- Roof-mounted carrier removed
This indicates Mahindra is blending everyday usability with adventure styling rather than offering a fully equipped off-road rig.
Rear Design: Distinctive BE Identity
The rear section includes:
- A roof-mounted spoiler
- Split LED light bars (not a connected strip like some BE models)
- A secondary spoiler element above the tail-light housing
- The infinity-loop BE logo showcased on the tailgate
A quick glance also reveals headrests resembling those of the BE 6, hinting at shared interior components.

Powertrain: Expected to Mirror the BE 6
While official specifications are under wraps, the BE Rall-E is expected to share its electric foundations with the Mahindra BE 6, which offers:
Battery Options
- 59 kWh
- 79 kWh (up to 683 km ARAI range)
Motor Options
- 231 hp RWD
- 286 hp RWD
These configurations are likely to be carried over, unless Mahindra introduces:
- Off-road-specific tuning
- An AWD variant at a later stage
Interior & Features: Expected to Align With Premium BE Lineup
Although the teaser doesn’t show the cabin, the production Rall-E will likely feature a modern interior similar to the BE 6, including:
- Two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated BE logo
- Dual digital screens
- Cockpit-style centre trim separating the cabin zones
Expected features include:
- Powered and ventilated seats
- AR-based HUD
- Driver monitoring camera with video-calling support
- 360-degree camera
- Powered tailgate
- Up to 7 airbags
These tech-forward features would position the Rall-E as a premium offering within the Born Electric range.

Positioning & Rivals
The BE Rall-E, with its off-road-inspired persona and born-electric architecture, will sit in a niche of its own. It won’t have direct rivals, but it will indirectly compete with:
- Hyundai Creta EV
- Tata Curvv EV
- MG ZS EV
- Tata Sierra EV (upcoming)
- Maruti Suzuki eVitara
Its positioning as a rugged, adventure-oriented BE SUV will give Mahindra a unique advantage in the growing urban–adventure EV segment.
