Mahindra has officially introduced the BE 6 Formula E Edition in India at an introductory price of ₹23.69 lakh, celebrating the global debut of its new M12 Electro Formula E race car. This special edition becomes the second themed variant of the BE 6 after the Batman Edition, but unlike that model, it is not limited to a fixed production run. However, Mahindra is offering exclusive benefits to the first 999 customers, including a chance for three selected buyers to attend the prestigious 2026 London ePrix with full pit-lane access, making this edition not just a cosmetic upgrade but a unique motorsport-linked ownership experience.
The Formula E Edition brings a much more aggressive and race-inspired identity to the BE 6. Mahindra has reworked the exterior with striking motorsport cues, including redesigned headlamps exclusive to this version and a set of Formula E–themed graphics that run across the body. The paint palette includes four exclusive colours developed specifically for this edition, complemented by bonnet stripes, wheel stripes, bright orange tow-hook detailing, red brake calipers and orange accents placed along the running board. Special Formula E Edition badging further amplifies its motorsport character, giving the SUV a visual presence that directly reflects Mahindra’s global Formula E ambitions.
Inside, the BE 6 Formula E Edition continues this racing-inspired theme with a cabin treatment that is more dramatic and expressive than the standard model. The most noticeable addition is the transparent door panel design, reinforced with faux carbon-fibre texturing to emulate the materials used in a race car. The dashboard carries a specially engraved Formula E emblem, while the seats feature motorsport-style motifs exclusive to this edition. The steering wheel, door handles and centre-console switches all receive orange detailing, adding contrast and reinforcing the electric racing theme. Each unit also includes a unique production serial badge, making every Formula E Edition feel distinct and collectible.

Mahindra is offering the Formula E Edition in two variants, FE2 and FE3, both powered exclusively by the larger 79kWh battery pack. The FE3 variant enhances the package with adaptive suspension, larger 20-inch alloy wheels and Night Trail carpet lamps for added visual appeal and dynamic capability. Power comes from a 281bhp motor producing 380Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels through Mahindra’s RWD electric platform. This gives the Formula E Edition a noticeably sportier driving character, aligning perfectly with its track-inspired visual theme.
With its motorsport design touches, premium cabin upgrades and a strong performance-oriented electric setup, the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition stands out as one of the most distinctive EV offerings in its segment. The added engagement through the 999-customer program and the London ePrix experience further elevates its appeal, making it an exciting addition to Mahindra’s expanding electric SUV lineup.
