Mahindra has reached a remarkable milestone by selling over 30,000 units of its all-electric SUVs — the BE 6 and XEV 9e — within just seven months of their launch. These models, part of Mahindra’s Born Electric (BE) lineup, have emerged among the fastest-selling EVs in India, showcasing the brand’s growing dominance in the electric SUV market.

Deliveries began in March 2025, and by September, Mahindra had already crossed the 20,000-unit mark. Now, with total sales surpassing 30,000 units, the company has set a new benchmark for rapid EV adoption in the country.

Built on the advanced INGLO electric platform, both SUVs are available with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs, delivering an impressive range of up to 683km on a single charge. The vehicles blend futuristic design, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable performance, appealing to both urban and long-distance drivers.

The BE 6 is designed as a dynamic mid-size SUV, while the XEV 9e caters to premium buyers with a performance-oriented setup. Together, they exemplify Mahindra’s strategic shift toward a fully electrified vehicle portfolio and reduced dependence on internal combustion models.

Following the strong response to its BE lineup, Mahindra is gearing up to expand its electric range. The brand has confirmed that it will soon unveil its first electric seven-seater SUV — the XEV 9s — later this month, further strengthening its foothold in India’s booming EV segment.

This achievement not only reinforces Mahindra’s leadership in electric mobility but also highlights the rising consumer confidence in homegrown EV innovation and technology.
