Mahindra Breaks Sales Records in October 2025: 71,624 SUVs Sold — Highest Ever

Mahindra & Mahindra has set a new benchmark in India’s SUV market, reporting record-breaking sales in October 2025. The automaker achieved its highest-ever monthly UV (utility vehicle) sales of 71,624 units, marking an impressive 31% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 54,504 units sold in October 2024.

Including exports, Mahindra’s total vehicle sales reached 1,20,142 units, reflecting a 26% YoY increase from 95,841 units last year. The performance also improved from September 2025’s 1,00,298 units, indicating strong festive season momentum and sustained customer demand.

SUVs Drive Mahindra’s Growth Surge

Mahindra’s dominant SUV lineup — including the Scorpio-N, XUV700, Thar, Bolero, and Bolero Neo — continues to power its growth. The recently updated versions of the Thar, Bolero, and Bolero Neo have added fresh excitement to the brand’s portfolio.

From April to October 2025, Mahindra’s SUV sales stood at 3,69,194 units, a 17% jump compared to 3,14,714 units during the same period in 2024.

Looking ahead, the company plans to further strengthen its leadership with its upcoming Born Electric (BE) and XEV series. Mahindra aims to launch eight new SUVs in FY 2026–27, covering both ICE and EV segments.

“In October, we achieved our highest-ever SUV sales at 71,624 units. Total vehicle sales reached 1,20,142 units, marking 26% growth year-on-year,” said Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Strong Growth Across Commercial and 3-Wheeler Segments

Mahindra’s commercial and three-wheeler businesses also delivered solid results:

Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs)

  • Under 2T: 4,559 units (+16% YoY)
  • 2T–3.5T: 27,182 units (+14% YoY)

Three-Wheelers (Including EVs)

  • 12,762 units sold in Oct 2025 (+30% YoY)
  • 66,340 units YTD (+32% YoY)

The rise in three-wheeler sales, particularly electric variants, highlights Mahindra’s growing presence in last-mile mobility solutions.

Exports Maintain Upward Momentum

Mahindra exported 4,015 vehicles in October 2025, a 15% YoY increase, while YTD exports climbed to 24,318 units, marking a 34% rise from last year.

Outlook: Festive Boost and EV Expansion

With festive demand in full swing, Mahindra is well-positioned to sustain its growth trajectory through the remainder of FY 2025–26. A refreshed product lineup, strong domestic demand, and upcoming electric SUVs are expected to keep the brand ahead in India’s competitive mobility market.
