Mahindra has confirmed that the upcoming XEV 9S—its first three-row electric SUV—will come equipped with a premium Harman Kardon audio system. A new teaser reveals that the system will offer multiple sound modes and will work in sync with the SUV’s multi-colour ambient lighting, creating a more immersive cabin atmosphere.
This move continues Mahindra’s premium in-cabin strategy, following the XEV 9e and BE 6, both of which already feature Harman Kardon setups.

Features Expected on the XEV 9S
The XEV 9S is expected to share most of its equipment with the XEV 9e and BE 6, including:
- Three-row seating
- Triple-screen dashboard layout
- Connected LED lighting
- Ventilated seats
- Panoramic sunroof
- Level 2 ADAS
- Multi-colour ambient lighting synced with sound modes
Positioned as the electric counterpart to the XUV700, the XEV 9S will sit at the top of Mahindra’s EV lineup.
Powertrain Expectations
The XEV 9S is likely to feature the same battery configurations as its siblings:
- 59kWh battery
- 79kWh battery
Exact performance figures are yet to be confirmed, but range and output are expected to be similar to the XEV 9e.
