Mahindra has officially teased its upcoming flagship electric SUV — the XEV 9S, marking a major step forward in the brand’s Born Electric (BE) journey. Scheduled for a global unveiling on November 27, 2025, the XEV 9S will be a luxurious, three-row, seven-seater SUV, designed to combine futuristic styling, advanced technology, and sustainable performance.
Positioned at the top of Mahindra’s EV portfolio, the XEV 9S aims to redefine the premium electric SUV space for both Indian and global markets.
Bold and Futuristic Design Language
The teaser showcases a striking exterior design, characterized by a bold LED light bar that spans the width of the front fascia, creating a high-tech and distinctive appearance. The SUV’s muscular proportions and long wheelbase hint at a spacious cabin layout suitable for seven occupants.
Mahindra’s illuminated Twin Peaks logo, signature LED DRL design, and aerodynamic lines contribute to the SUV’s futuristic presence. A panoramic sunroof is also visible in the teaser, emphasizing the focus on luxury and openness inside the cabin.

Built on the INGLO EV Platform
The Mahindra XEV 9S is expected to be underpinned by the brand’s cutting-edge INGLO modular electric platform, designed to deliver high performance, safety, and efficiency. Key highlights of this platform include:
- High-density battery packs for extended driving range
- Ultra-fast DC charging support
- Dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration (expected)
- Level-2+ ADAS safety suite
- Fully digital cockpit with connected car technology
This next-gen platform will serve as the foundation for Mahindra’s future EV lineup, ensuring the XEV 9S offers strong acceleration, dynamic handling, and advanced safety.
Mahindra’s Most Premium EV Yet
The XEV 9S will be positioned above the BE.05 and BE.07, becoming Mahindra’s most premium electric SUV to date. Designed to deliver a perfect balance of luxury, space, and cutting-edge technology, the model aims to appeal to customers looking for a refined yet performance-oriented electric SUV.

By entering the three-row EV SUV segment, Mahindra is targeting competition with high-end models like the Tata Sierra EV, Hyundai Ioniq 7, and Kia EV9. The XEV 9S is expected to showcase Mahindra’s design and engineering excellence on a global stage.
A New Era for Mahindra’s Born Electric Vision
The Mahindra XEV 9S marks a significant milestone in the company’s Born Electric initiative — a range that emphasizes sustainability, technology, and global appeal. With its upcoming debut, Mahindra aims to solidify its position as a leading player in the electric mobility revolution, both in India and international markets.
