Maruti Victoris Biogas Revealed at Japan Mobility Show 2025

Suzuki has unveiled the Maruti Victoris Biogas at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, highlighting its commitment to sustainable mobility and rural development. The initiative is part of Suzuki’s ongoing Compressed Biogas (CBG) project, which began in 2022, aiming to convert dairy waste into clean fuel for vehicles.

The Victoris Biogas SUV represents Suzuki’s focus on green innovation, with the company leveraging biogas as an alternative to traditional fossil fuels. The CBG-powered Victoris stands out with a CNG tank mounted beneath the floor, freeing up additional boot space—a practical improvement over conventional CNG layouts.

In terms of size, the Victoris measures 4,360mm in length, 1,795mm in width, and 1,655mm in height, making it a well-proportioned and spacious SUV. Suzuki plans to offer the Victoris in multiple powertrain options, including petrol mild-hybrid, strong-hybrid, and factory-fitted CNG/CBG versions.

This biogas-based version of the Victoris underscores Suzuki’s broader goal of promoting eco-friendly mobility solutions while supporting India’s rural economy. By integrating biogas technology into its SUV lineup, Suzuki is showcasing how renewable energy can drive the future of transportation.
