Hyundai continues to raise the safety benchmark in India, and the updated 2026 Hyundai Venue is its strongest proof yet. After becoming the first mainstream brand to offer six airbags as standard, Hyundai has now upgraded the Venue with major improvements to both active and passive safety — supported by a reinforced Global K1 platform.
Level 2 ADAS: A Major Upgrade
The new Venue finally gets a full Level 2 ADAS suite under Hyundai SmartSense, a significant leap from the limited Level 1 systems offered earlier.
Key ADAS Features
- Smart Cruise Control (Adaptive Cruise Control): Maintains safe distance automatically, excellent in traffic and on highways.
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning: Detects vehicles and cross-traffic while turning; can brake automatically to prevent accidents.
- Lane Keeping Assist & Lane Following Assist: Keeps the Venue centered in its lane, reducing driver errors on highways.
Better Braking and Control
Hyundai has improved braking performance and confidence with:
- All-four disc brakes on more variants (not just N Line)
- More consistent stopping performance
- Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold
These upgrades enhance safety during sudden stops and high-speed driving.
Enhanced Surround Awareness
To improve visibility and reduce blind spots, the new Venue gets:
- Surround View Monitor (360-degree camera): Offers multi-angle views for easier parking and tight manoeuvres.
Stronger Body Shell & Platform
The updated Global K1 platform brings:
- Up to 71% high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel
- Hot-stamped crash structures
- Better crumple-zone engineering
These enhancements significantly improve crash protection and occupant safety.
Bharat NCAP Rating Coming Soon
The new Venue has already been submitted for Bharat NCAP crash testing. With a stronger structure and full ADAS suite, Hyundai is optimistic about securing a high rating. Results are expected in early 2026.
