Renault has officially teased the all-new Duster for India, marking the much-awaited return of the popular SUV. The second-generation Duster will make its India debut on 26 January 2026, bringing a fresh design, modern features, and new powertrain options to compete in the hotly contested mid-size SUV segment.
Fresh Design and Modern Cabin
The teaser showcases the SUV’s bold silhouette, hinting at a rugged stance and signature Renault styling. Spy shots suggest a redesigned front fascia, LED lighting, and a sleeker overall look. Inside, the new Duster is expected to feature a three-screen dashboard layout, premium materials, and enhanced comfort.
Powertrains and Variants
Globally, the new Duster is available with 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.2-litre, and 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid engines. While the India-spec model’s powertrain details remain unconfirmed, Renault is likely to offer both petrol and hybrid options to suit local preferences. A seven-seat version is also planned for a later launch.
Launch and Rivals
The new Duster will share its platform with the upcoming Nissan Tekton, set for India launch in April 2026. Once launched, the Duster will rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor.
The return of the Duster marks Renault’s biggest move in years, promising to rekindle the SUV’s legacy with modern tech, hybrid power, and a refreshed design.
