India’s SUV market continues its rapid expansion, and the coming four weeks promise even more excitement. A total of six major SUV launches—across both ICE and EV segments—are scheduled to roll out soon. Here’s a complete breakdown of every upcoming model.Tata Sierra (ICE)
The long-awaited all-new Tata Sierra is set to debut on November 25, marking the return of the iconic nameplate. The model will feature both petrol and diesel engine options, with the ICE version arriving first.
Tata has already previewed the production-spec Sierra ICE, which stands out with its bold styling, premium cabin design, and competitive feature list. Tata Sierra EV
Soon after the ICE version, Tata will launch the Sierra EV, built on the Acti.EV+ platform. It is expected to offer two battery pack options:
- 55 kWh (shared with the Curvv EV)
- 65 kWh (shared with the Harrier EV)
The larger battery is expected to deliver a range of 500+ km. The EV version will also distinguish itself visually with a more futuristic and EV-specific design language.
Mahindra XEV 9S
The Mahindra XEV 9S will be unveiled on November 26 at the brand’s “Scream Electric” event in Bengaluru. This will be Mahindra’s first three-row electric SUV, built on the advanced INGLO platform, which also underpins the outgoing BE6 and XEV 9e.

Maruti Suzuki will enter the EV SUV space with the eVitara, launching on December 2. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the eVitara promises sharp styling, a tech-loaded cabin, and competitive range figures. It sits on the Heartect-e platform, co-developed by Toyota and Suzuki.

Tata Harrier (Petrol) and Tata Safari (Petrol)
Tata’s flagship SUVs—the Harrier and Safari—currently offered only with diesel engines, will finally receive petrol powertrains. Scheduled to launch on December 9, both models will be equipped with:
- 1.5L direct-injection turbo-petrol engine
- Expected output: 170 hp / 280 Nm
- Manual and automatic transmission options
