Nissan India has expanded its CNG lineup with the launch of the Magnite CNG with AMT (EZ-Shift). The factory-approved CNG retrofitment now allows customers to experience the convenience of an automated manual transmission along with improved fuel efficiency and lower running costs.
Nissan Magnite CNG AMT Gets Integrated Fuel Lid Design
The updated Magnite CNG features a re-engineered integrated fuel lid, which now accommodates both petrol and CNG valves under a single cap — a more practical upgrade compared to the previous engine bay-mounted setup. This design not only enhances convenience but also offers better safety and ease of refueling.
Pricing, Availability, and Warranty
The CNG retrofitment kit is priced at ₹71,999, now ₹3,000 cheaper following the GST 2.0 revision that reduced the tax rate from 28% to 18%. Developed in collaboration with Motozen Fuel Systems, the kit is Government-approved and can only be installed at authorised Nissan retrofitment centres across India.
Customers opting for this upgrade will continue to enjoy a three-year or one lakh kilometre warranty. The retrofitment is compatible with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine and is available for both manual and AMT variants.
Wider Coverage and Expansion Plans
The Nissan CNG retrofitment program now extends to 13 states across India, including Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. This marks a significant step in Nissan’s push to make the Magnite more accessible, fuel-efficient, and versatile for Indian buyers.
