Porsche has officially revealed the Cayenne Electric in India, marking another major milestone in the brand’s EV expansion. The electric Cayenne will be sold alongside its ICE sibling and is now open for bookings, priced at Rs 1.75 crore for the standard variant and Rs 2.25 crore for the Turbo. Following the Taycan and Macan Electric, the Cayenne EV takes Porsche’s performance-oriented electric engineering to a new scale.
Dual-Motor Powertrains with Extreme Performance
The Cayenne Electric comes in two versions, both powered by a 113 kWh battery and a dual-motor AWD setup.
Turbo Variant
- 1,156 bhp
- 1,500 Nm
- 0–100 kmph: 2.5 seconds (Boost mode)
Standard Variant
- 440 bhp

- 0–100 kmph: 4.8 seconds
The Cayenne EV delivers a claimed range of up to 642 km, depending on configuration.
Advanced Charging: Wireless Induction + 400 kW Fast Charging
One of the biggest highlights is Porsche’s new Wireless Charging system — a first for the brand. The SUV supports:
- 11 kW inductive charging via a floor-mounted charging pad
- 400 kW DC fast charging
- Up to 600 kW regenerative braking, inspired by Formula E technology
The regen system can handle 97 percent of everyday braking through motors alone, significantly enhancing efficiency.

Design, Dimensions and Interior
The Cayenne Electric is larger than its petrol counterpart:
- Length: 4,985 mm
- Width: 1,980 mm
- Height: 1,674 mm
- Wheelbase: 3,023 mm
The SUV retains Porsche’s muscular proportions, sleek curves and aerodynamic presence. Inside, it features:
- 14.25-inch OLED central touchscreen
- Optional 14.9-inch passenger display
- Updated digital cockpit and premium materials
Launch and Market Positioning
Unlike the Macan, which has transitioned to EV-only in some markets, Porsche will continue selling the Cayenne EV alongside the petrol Cayenne. Global deliveries begin in the second half of next year, with Indian deliveries expected soon after.
