Porsche has officially revealed the Macan GTS Electric, the first-ever GTS variant of the Macan to go fully electric. Sitting just below the Macan Turbo Electric in Porsche’s global lineup, the Macan GTS Electric is built on the 800V Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture and competes with rivals like the Audi Q8 e-tron Sportback, BMW iX, and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
Sporty Design and Exterior Features
The Macan GTS Electric showcases signature GTS styling cues with 10mm lower stance, more aggressive front and rear bumpers, wider side skirts, and an adaptive rear spoiler. Optional 22-inch RS Spyder Design alloy wheels, tinted Matrix LED headlights and taillights, and unique Lugano Blue, Crayon, and Carmine Red exterior colours enhance its sporty appeal. Porsche’s configurator allows customers to choose from 60 additional colours.
Interior Highlights
Inside, the Macan GTS Electric features a sporty cabin with GTS-specific steering wheel, door pads, and dashboard finished in suede-like material, along with soft leather seats, red contrast stitching, and carbon-fibre inlays. Dual 10.9-inch infotainment screens and a 12.6-inch digital instrument panel complement powered front seats, augmented-reality head-up display, AI voice assistant, and Porsche Electric Sport Sound for a premium experience.
Powertrain and Performance
The SUV is powered by a 100kWh battery driving motors on both axles, producing 563hp and 955Nm of torque. All-wheel drive is standard, with a rear-biased torque distribution. With Launch Control, the Macan GTS Electric accelerates from 0-100kph in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 250kph. Charging from 10-80% via a 270kW DC fast charger takes around 21 minutes, and the WLTP-tested range is 586km.
India Launch and Pricing
Porsche currently sells three Macan Electric variants in India, with prices starting from Rs. 1.22 crore for the base model to Rs. 1.73 crore for the Turbo. The GTS variant is expected to arrive later, adding a sporty, high-performance option to the electric Macan lineup.
