The recall is a voluntary initiative undertaken to address a potential software issue in the Parking Assist Electronic Control Unit (ECU), which controls the 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor responsible for rear-view image display.

According to Toyota, the issue lies within the ECU software that may affect the system’s ability to correctly display rear-view images in certain driving conditions. To rectify this, the company will reprogram the ECU software to ensure optimal camera functionality.

- Toyota Camry: 2,257 units manufactured between 18 July 2024 and 23 September 2025

- Toyota Land Cruiser: 744 units built between 31 May 2023 and 28 July 2025
