VinFast is preparing to grow its presence in the Indian market with the introduction of the Limo Green electric MPV, scheduled for launch in February 2026. This will become the brand’s third product in India after the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs, positioning VinFast directly against upcoming all-electric MPVs such as the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax 7.
VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau has officially confirmed the timeline, stating that the 7-seater Limo Green is on track for an early 2026 debut.
Designed for VinFast’s India-Ready GSM Electric Taxi Fleet
The launch of the Limo Green is expected to align with the rollout of VinFast’s dedicated electric mobility service — Green and Smart Mobility (GSM). GSM is VinFast’s fully owned EV ride-hailing fleet, distinct from aggregators like Ola and Uber, which rely on driver-owned vehicles.
India will become GSM’s fifth market, following:
- Vietnam
- Indonesia
- The Philippines
- Laos
The Limo Green is expected to serve as the primary workhorse of this new electric taxi fleet, giving it a strong sales foundation from day one. Local production will take place at VinFast’s Tamil Nadu manufacturing facility, reinforcing the company’s India-first localisation strategy.

Spy images and leaked patent sketches have already revealed a good amount of information about the upcoming Limo Green. The Vietnam-spec model measures:

For context, the BYD eMax 7 currently sold in India is marginally smaller in both length and width, suggesting the Limo Green will be one of the roomiest electric MPVs in the segment.
