The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is a premium electric sedan that focuses on efficiency, comfort, and modern technology. Already available in several international markets, it highlights Hyundai’s approach to building electric cars that are both stylish and practical.
The design of the Ioniq 6 is all about aerodynamics. Hyundai calls it a “streamliner”, and the shape helps the car achieve a very low drag coefficient of 0.21. This reduces air resistance and improves driving efficiency. The low stance, smooth body lines, and clean surfaces give the sedan a futuristic appearance while also helping extend its driving range.
One of the key highlights of the Ioniq 6 is its 800V electrical system, which supports ultra-fast charging. With a suitable fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around 18 minutes. The sedan is offered with multiple battery options, including 53 kWh and 77.4 kWh, with the larger pack delivering a driving range of up to 680 km (WLTP).
The Ioniq 6 is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, depending on the variant. Hyundai has also confirmed a sportier Ioniq 6 N version, expected in 2026, which will deliver more than 600 horsepower.
Inside, the cabin is designed to feel calm and spacious. Hyundai uses eco-friendly materials and a clean dashboard layout. Features include relaxation seats, a dual 12.3-inch digital display, advanced driver-assistance systems, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) support, and optional digital side mirrors.
For India, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is expected to arrive as a fully imported model, with estimated prices between ₹50 lakh and ₹80 lakh, placing it in the premium electric sedan segment.
