Jetour T2 Spotted Testing in India Ahead of 2026 Launch

The Jetour T2 has officially been spotted testing on Indian roads, signaling that its India debut is getting closer. The SUV is expected to launch around Diwali 2026 through a partnership between JSW Motors and Chery, the parent company of the Jetour brand.

What stands out about this sighting is that the vehicle was seen without camouflage. This gives us a clear look at its strong and upright design. The rear section features tall vertical tail lamps, neatly integrated with piano-black elements. The tailgate has a squared, box-like shape that gives the SUV a rugged and practical appearance. High bumpers and a vertically placed rear door handle further enhance its tough look.

The short clip, reportedly recorded in Kerala, confirms that testing is underway in real-world Indian conditions. This step is crucial, as manufacturers fine-tune suspension, ride comfort, and performance to suit local roads and weather.

The Jetour T2 is expected to come as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). This means buyers could enjoy electric driving for short distances while still having a petrol engine for longer journeys. With growing interest in fuel-efficient and electrified vehicles, this setup could attract urban as well as highway users.

Importantly, the SUV will be assembled locally at JSW’s Maharashtra plant. Local assembly often helps brands price their vehicles more competitively, which will be key in India’s highly competitive SUV segment.

Earlier, the company teased the T2 in a dealer recruitment campaign, hinting at its expansion plans. Now, with road testing in progress, the launch timeline appears to be on track.

As we move closer to 2026, the Jetour T2 is shaping up to be an interesting new entrant in India’s fast-growing SUV market. More details about features, pricing, and specifications are expected soon.
