Tata Nexon Drives Tata’s 43% Growth, Tops February 2026 Sales

The Tata Nexon continued its impressive run in the Indian market by emerging as the best-selling passenger vehicle in February 2026, playing a major role in boosting sales for Tata Motors. The popular compact SUV recorded 19,430 units in monthly sales, helping the company achieve a remarkable 43 percent year-on-year growth.

According to the latest sales figures, Tata Motors sold 50,654 passenger vehicles in February 2026, significantly higher than the numbers recorded during the same period last year. The strong demand for Tata’s SUV lineup, especially the Nexon, has been a key factor behind this growth.

Compared to February 2025, when the Nexon sold 15,349 units, the SUV has seen a 26.59 percent increase in sales. This steady rise reflects the model’s continued popularity among Indian buyers who are looking for a well-equipped, safe, and versatile compact SUV.

One of the biggest strengths of the Nexon is its wide range of powertrain options. Customers can choose between petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric variants, making it one of the most flexible offerings in the segment. The success of Tata Motors in February was also supported by the strong performance of the Tata Punch. The micro SUV recorded 18,748 units in sales, placing it among the top-selling vehicles in the country and helping Tata secure two of the top three positions in the sales chart.
