4 Made-in-India Maruti Cars to Feature at Japan Mobility Show 2025

The 2025 Japan Mobility Show, scheduled from October 30 to November 9 in Tokyo, will see a strong presence of Maruti Suzuki’s made-in-India models. Alongside globally recognized Suzuki cars like the Jimny 5-door and e Vitara, India-made models such as the Maruti Fronx and the newly launched Maruti Victoris will also be on display.

1. Maruti Jimny 5-Door (Jimny Nomade)

The Jimny Nomade is the Japan-spec 5-door version of the Maruti Jimny manufactured in India. While largely identical to the India-spec model, the Japanese version features advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). It is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with standard 4WD, offering the same rugged off-road capability as the Indian variant.

2. Maruti e Vitara

The e Vitara, an electric SUV produced at Maruti’s Gujarat plant, will also be showcased. Exported to around 100 countries, it comes with two battery options — 49 kWh and 61 kWh, providing a claimed range of over 500 km. It has been Euro NCAP crash-tested, achieving a 4-star safety rating, and is expected to launch in India soon.

3. Maruti Fronx FFV Concept (Flex-Fuel Version)

The Fronx will be showcased as a flex-fuel version (FFV) concept, capable of running on higher ethanol blends, supporting Suzuki’s carbon-neutral initiatives. In India, the Fronx is available with a 1.2-litre petrol, CNG, and 1-litre turbo-petrol engine options. The India-spec Fronx is already E20 compliant.

4. Maruti Victoris

Launched in India in September 2025, the Victoris will make its Japan debut with a CBG (compressed biogas) variant, alongside the existing CNG versions. Suzuki will also display a prototype of the vehicle running on CBG/CNG, plus a miniature model of its biogas plant in India, developed in collaboration with local dairy unions.

These four made-in-India Maruti cars highlight the growing capability and global reach of Maruti Suzuki. The Japan Mobility Show 2025 promises to showcase India’s engineering prowess to the world.
